1. Network Congestion
Blockchain networks like Ethereum or Bitcoin may be congested during peak hours. This affects transaction times and swap completion.
2. Liquidity Issues
If the token you’re trying to swap has low liquidity, it may take longer for Exodus to fulfill your trade request.
3. Swap Partner Delays
Exodus uses third-party exchange partners to process swaps. Sometimes delays occur on their end which Exodus cannot control directly.
4. Incorrect Fee Settings
Some networks require a specific fee rate to process quickly. If the fee is too low, the swap might remain pending for a long time.
5. Unconfirmed Incoming Transaction
If your funding transaction hasn’t been confirmed on the blockchain yet, the swap won’t start until it’s verified.
What Can You Do?
- Check if your transaction has been confirmed on a blockchain explorer.
- Wait at least 1-2 hours before taking action. Delays are usually temporary.
- If it’s been longer than that, contact ExodusDeskCare support.
